HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY
Lets hope that it is better that 2020 and 2021 !!!!
Just to remind you that we are not back until next week, the 11th January 2022. This has turned out to be a smart move, as I gather that they have some illnesses amongst the staff at the club at the moment.
As I am sure you remember, Shanna asked us to revise the following songs:
California Dreamin
Amarillo (this is currently archived but I would like to bring it back)
Wellerman
Only You
Blue Moon – I am just chasing the rest of the part tracks
Most of you should know them, apart from Wellerman, unless you made the "mistake" of transferring to the Bari section. Who would do such a strange thing?
Just to give you advance notice of an event which may/maybe not happening in the near future.
We registered an interest to be involved with B Music which is based at the Symphony Hall in Birmingham, who are running Community Spirit 2022. They have an exciting year ahead planned, including concerts in the Symphony Hall, a B:Music venue and Warwick Arts Centre – plus, with the Commonwealth Games on our doorstep we’ve been discussing how our Community Spirit choirs may be able to get involved. This is open to anyone but it will be up to individuals as to whether you want to get involved. I think it will be a monthly rehearsal on a Saturday. The first one is scheduled for the 15th January but no details have been released yet. Either Carlo or myself will be at the zoom meeting next Monday to get more details which we will pass on next week.
